Very well-written, but as a mother, I would not recommend this books to other moms. It should weigh about 500lbs because the subject matter is HEAVY. No graphic details or anything like that, just overall very heavy. I love thrillers and dark page turners, but this is more of a “drama mystery” genre and the overall theme is very mother/mom-guilt centric. For readers that can detach, I’m sure it’s great, but not for me. I was so disappointed in this book that I am writing my first ever review. Reasons I disliked it : 1) there was no mystery...the culprit was identifiable a third into the book because there were really no other contenders ;2) virtually all of the characters, no matter what their backgrounds , were deeply damaged...almost all had either been abandoned or molested and/or obsessed by those who had been abandoned or molested ...no even semi normal people in a book with a lot of characters and 3) a great amount of psycho babble and pseudo sociological profundities.
